This event will be run with respect and sportsmanship. Anyone not adhering to this strict code of conduct will be asked to leave or will forfeit their match. You will treat your fellow competitors, referee and staff as professionals and responsible competitors. Coaches As hard as we try and as much effort as we put forth errors are bound to occur. The coaches will refrain from distracting comments to the referee and the arguing of points. It is at the referee discretion that you are allowed to remain in the coaches corner. You are NOT allowed to get on the mat or travel around the mat following competitors. There is one coach allowed for each competitor on the mat. If you are not the designated coach you must remain either in the stands or behind the scorers table. Failure to do so can result in the referee awarding points to the other competitor. If you are disrespectful to the referee your competitor can be penalized by awarding points to the other competitor or he/she might be forced to forfeit due to your conduct. Act as a professional! Weight Classes for submission grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Children under 10 will be separated on the mat into light and heavy divisions based on the number of competitors and the weight ranges. If the heaviest person is more then 15 lbs over the closest competitor they may be bumped into a higher age group at the sole discretion of the event staff. Age 10-12 Will be separated on the mat into light and heavy divisions based on the number of competitors and the weight ranges. If the heaviest person is more then 20 lbs over the closest competitor they may be bumped into a higher age group at the sole discretion of the event staff. Age 13-15 Will be separated on the mat into light and heavy divisions based on the number of competitors and the weight ranges. If the heaviest person is more then 25 lbs over the closest competitor they may be bumped into a higher age group at the sole discretion of the event staff. Age 16-18 Will be separated on the mat into light and heavy divisions based on the number of competitors and the weight ranges. If the heaviest person is more then 30 lbs over the closest competitor they may be bumped into a higher age group at the sole discretion of the event staff. Rules and weight classes for the Takedown Challenge Rules This is a new event and is designed with the spectator in mind. The goal is to achieve as many takedowns in a specified period of time as possible. You are not to stall. If you pick a person up above your waist you must make contact with the ground before your opponent. Once a takedown is achieved you will be restarted from the point at which they stand you up. Time will not be stopped. The person scoring the most points at the end of the specified period of time will be declared the winner. If the score is tied at the end of regulation there will be a 1 minute sudden death overtime and if the 1 minute expires the referee will declare a winner based on aggressiveness. Ages Bantam 6-8 years old 2 minutes (By weight) 101-115 lbs 116-130 lbs 131-145 lbs 146-165 lbs 166 –180 180 + but no greater then 30 lbs High school 16-18 years old 3 minutes 105-115 lbs 116-130 lbs 131-150 lbs 151-165 lbs 166-180 lbs 180-200 lbs 201 + 130-145 lbs 146-165 lbs 166-180 lbs 181-195 lbs 196-210 lbs 210 + Adults 23 + 3 minutes under 150 lbs 150.1-165 lbs 165.1-175 lbs 175.1-190 lbs 190.1-210 lbs 210 +
